Manuel Piñón Alamillo was born in the city of Durango. He graduated from the School of Painting, Sculpture and Crafts (EPEA) at Juárez University, and in 2014 was selected to paint one of the eight commemorative murals of the 450th Anniversary of the city of Durango commissioned by the State Government with the support of the National Council for Culture and the Arts. He also obtained the First State Place in the 2015 “Madonnari” Street Contest, organized by the Municipal Institute of Art and Culture of Durango, being invited for this reason to participate in the XVII International Madonnari Contest in Nocera Superiore in Italy.
