Born in San José, Costa Rica, in 1912, and died in Mexico, in 1998. Famous Costa Rican sculptor and painter, resident in Mexico. Zuñiga learned his art in the workshop of Manuel Zúñiga Rodríguez, who was his father, but his style is characterized by the representation of strong and proud indigenous characters, especially women.
